Description: Explores cross-cultural interactions through images and objects in all visual media from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century in New Zealand, the Pacific, Australia, the Middle East, the Americas, China, Japan and India. The course focuses on meanings and uses of visual arts in different socio-cultural contexts, as well as travel, migration and displacement.

Restriction: ARTHIST 733 To complete this course students must enrol in ARTHIST 703 A and B
