Description: Microorganisms and microbial-derived products have been used by humans for millennia. Explores the interface of microorganisms and engineering, including how microorganisms interact with food products in beneficial and unfavourable ways, identifying and utilising microorganisms to produce chemicals, therapeutics, and materials and how to use innovative methods to engineer microorganisms to perform novel functions or produce novel products.
