Description: Explores theoretical ecology from populations to ecosystems. Applies ecological theory to conservation management through a cross-disciplinary lens in the context of social and cultural values. Students will test theoretical hypotheses in the field, conduct an ecological site assessment for conservation management and learn to use population viability analysis to assess risks to threatened populations.
