Description: Economics is the study of scarcity; of how society chooses to use scarce resources to satisfy its unlimited wants. Explores what motivates consumers and producers, how the market works and how markets react to change. Increases students’ understanding of what makes up an economy, how it works and why it is important for the individual and others. Uses economic theory to analyse real-life situations. Challenges students to think like an economist and practise decision making.
